34th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show

Hey everyone! The 34th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show is here on the Outer Banks and going on through the 24th of February. This exhibition has free admission and will be on display at the Ghost Fleet Gallery in Nags Head located at 210 East Driftwood Street. You will find a beautiful array of original local fine art including all from paintings to sculptures and everything in-between. It is an event that all art lovers will enjoy!

Just as a little background about Frank Stick, he was one of the first men to foresee the Outer Banks as being a vacation destination. So much so, that he began painting hundreds of gorgeous scenes you can find here on the Outer Banks. He began by painting predominately hunting and fishing scenes to show the great potential for outdoor adventure on the Outer Banks. He went on to embrace all of the beauty that this area has to offer and put it on canvas as some of the most collectable Outer Banks Art available. This is a great event to attend while you are here enjoying your Outer Banks Vacation Rental.

In 1920, Stick visited the Outer Banks of North Carolina on a surf fishing expedition, and saw the perfection that we all see today, whether you live here or are on vacation. He instantly became captivated with the Outer Banks and worked hard establishing the Cape Hatteras National Seashore as the United States’ first national seashore. This was all thanks to Frank Stick’s efforts. We here at Stan White Realty & Construction hope all the art lovers visiting the Outer Banks can make it out to this incredible art exhibition.
